About Me:
Elizabeth Ossip is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Florida and Utah, a Certified Addictions Professional in Florida, an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a TBHI Certified Behavioral Health Practitioner, practicing on-line E-Therapy. She is trained in EMDR and other trauma-specific treatments, as well as being certified in many relationship, family and parenting programs. She holds a Masters degree in Social work from Florida Atlantic University, where her studies encompassed substance abuse, addictions, crisis intervention, trauma, sexuality and diversity, conflict resolution, children and families, elders and aging, and a wide variety of therapeutic modalities. Elizabeth received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and had a successful career as a designer and consultant in the textile industry. Her interest in Social Work and Addictions grew out of a desire to serve others, her own personal growth, and a fascination with Art Therapy, Breath-work and other creative and experiential therapies. While in graduate school she taught art to middle and high school students and interned as a guidance counselor. Elizabeth’s scope of practice includes individuals, couples and families, as well as therapeutic and support groups and workshops. Elizabeth brings an in-depth knowledge of alcoholism, addictions and codependency, 12 Step recovery, trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, crisis intervention, relationships, life transitions and healing and wellness to her practices. She is trained in EMDR, is a certified Triple P Parenting practitioner, Certified Prepare and Enrich Couples Facilitator, and has 20 years of training in Sondra Ray's Loving Relationship Training. In addition, Elizabeth, a life-long equestrian and trained in EAGALA equine assisted therapy, has facilitated equine assisted therapy for children and adults and practiced on-site behavioral therapy with at-risk children and families in Palm Beach County, FL, facilitated groups and individual counseling for addiction and trauma treatment facilities in Florida and Utah, as well as being a Primary Therapist at Beachway Therapy Center, one of the leading substance abuse treatment facilities in the U.S. Her therapeutic approach with her clients encompasses all of the many techniques and modalities she has training and expertise in, and her gentle, spiritual nature brings a high level of compassion, calm and insight to her clients, both in-office and during on-line E-Therapy sessions.
